Domestic Violence
Brooklyn District Attorney Charles J. Hynes has been a strong advocate for aggressive action in response to domestic violence. There's a reason. As a boy, he saw his mother regularly abused by his violent, alcoholic father. The police and prosecutors of that time did not see the situation in Hynes' home as an ongoing crime ... in fact, their sympathies seemed slanted toward his father. Find out what the happened when Hynes and his mother asked for help.
District Attorney Hynes is joined by Executive Deputy District Attorney Wanda Lucibello, head of the Domestic Violence unit in his office.
