Detoxing the Past
Rick Randig was against the war before he was sent to Vietnam as a medical corpsman working in a heroin detox unit. After serving, he was even more against it.
Randig recounts the army's policy of locking up GI's who tested positive for heroin use, and wondering each day, "What are we doing here... why are we doing this?" This veteran-turned-actor performed his one-man show, "GOODNIGHT LBJ", at the Theater for the New City in Manhattan.
