On March 26th, the MTA announced that it had selected developer Tishman Speyer to build a multi-billion dollar project at the site of the Hudson Railyards. The entire complex, which will include housing, office space, a new school, and a new park, would be larger than Rockefeller Center. But given the state of the economy, should we expect construction to start anytime soon? Former MTA Chairman Richard Ravitch weighs in on the proposed deal.
