A series profiling the New Yorkers who make our city work
Nathan Stodola, Renegade Accordion
Boba Fett-masked accordion player Nathan Stodola more or less supports himself busking sci-fi theme songs near the Highline and Washington Square Park while pursuing a graduate degree in engineering from Columbia.
Lol. I love the home-made Boba Fett helmet. Is this public broadcasting’s response to the Star Wars Kid?

Super. Really enjoyed it. I have a similar piano accordion which I bought at an estate sale for $50.00. I might look into some lessons now. What kind of video camera was used? The image looks great.

how exciting. i am so glad this video was made and uploaded. what a great video, not only filmmaking wise (i.e. editing, lighting, sound is all fantastic!) but also because i’m SO glad to see what he looks like under that helmet because I JUST SAW HIM 2 days ago and took his picture. i have it on facebook and i added a link to this video so all my FB peeps can see the video too. i saw his playing in the 14th st subway at the downtown F train…i did a double take and just was blown away by the site of it. i mean it takes a lot for me to turn my head bc you always see ANYTHING imagineable in NYC so it takes a lot for me to stop and take a pic….but this guy was so good and it stuck out from the usual that i did something i NEVER do—tip! i gave the guy a buck….but considering i had just $3 on me, it was a big tip….if i ever see him playing (in subway or above ground) i will definitely tell him i saw this video and BTW i went to college in Wisconsin so i may mention that WI connection. ) GREAT VIDEO SERIES OVERALL AND AGAIN WHAT IRONY THAT I SAW THIS VIDEO AND JUST SAW THE GUY PLAY AT THE F TRAIN.
