ON THE TOWN: STORIES OF NEW YORK IN WORLD WAR II COMPETITION RULES AND RELEASES
Thirteen/WNET New York invites students thirteen years of age and older who are in grades 8-12 to submit a multi-media project featuring interviews with New Yorkers who lived through the World War II years. You may interview just about anyone who has memories of that time -- a soldier who was on the front lines, a woman who went to work in a factory to support the war effort and her family, someone who was a child during the war, or anyone else whose story you would like to tell. Any New Yorker who lived during that period will have a unique story to tell. Be creative and original, and your project could be one of the ten selected winners, and you will be invited to Thirteen's studio for a reception with staff and producers and receive a DVD set of THE WAR!
