Gilvarry’s debut book, “From the Memoirs of a Non-Enemy Combatant: A Novel,” is set in the post-9/11 New York fashion world. MetroFocus spoke to the author about why he chose Williamsburg, Brooklyn, as a setting for his novel, and about his views on the intersection of fashion and politics.
