Two hit-and-run deaths in Brooklyn this weekend have pushed City Council members and cyclist enthusiasts for protections on our dangerous streets.  We talk to Paul Steely White, the Executive Director of Transportation Alternatives, to find out what steps his organization is pushing for to make the city streets safer for cyclists. It’s shark week, but sharks in the city?  They don’t just prowl on Wall Street.  We’ll give a sneak peek of Discovery Channel’s “Sharks and the City:  New York,” and find out what predators lurk in our waters. The death of Michael Brown at the hands of Ferguson Police left our country on edge.  Thomas Jackson, the former Chief of Police of that city, joins us to discuss his new book “Policing Ferguson, Policing America,” and takes us inside the tension and the fight to ease them.
