November 11, 2016: Brooklyn WWII Memorial Moves Forward

Last veterans day, Metrofocus introduced you to Toba Potosky, a Brooklyn resident who has spent the last 6 years raising public interest and funds to restore a nearly forgotten treasure- a World War II memorial in his neighborhood. The Brooklyn War Memorial in Cadman Plaza Park was dedicated in 1951 as a monument to the nearly 12,000 Brooklynites who gave their lives fighting for our freedom in the second world war. The vision for the memorial was never realized and soon fell into disrepair… that is until Toba took up the cause of honoring our veterans. So what progress has been made since we last checked in? Toba joins us tonight.
