I love the Red Rooster. The environment and aesthetic is warm and sophisticated without being studied. The food is a blend of southern-inspired cuisine with the introduction of seasonings and recipes divined from chef Marcus Samuelsson’s many life experiences.
Most of all, I love the Red Rooster because it is a sterling example of cultural diversity at its most authentic. It’s a place where regardless of the time of day, there is always a gathering of extremely interesting and friendly people and, better yet, it’s just up the street from the Apollo Theater!
