Bulging suitcases, endless lines, security pat downs and a final dash to the gate. Air travelers have enough worries during the holiday rush…Getting to the airport doesn’t have to be one of them.

While taxis are decidedly the most convenient way to get to any of New York City’s major regional airports,  they are also the most expensive, often costing upwards of $60 — not to mention traffic in the city is unpredictable at best.

Save your cash and prepare for less hassle with MetroFocus’ borough-by-borough guide to finding the most efficient and affordable public transportation route to Newark Liberty, John F. Kennedy or LaGuardia. (Sorry, Staten-Islanders, you should probably stick to cars.) Safe travels!
