Amsale Aberra: Make Your Own Arrangments

The flower district is a place that makes me feel happy and inspired. It’s on West 28th Street, between Avenue of the Americas and Seventh Avenue but every year it seems to be shrinking. What I love about it is that it opens early in the morning and I’m a morning person. Living in the city, you don’t get many chances to see flowers and scenery. I like to buy flowers to make my own arrangements. When I’m doing bridal designs, I sometimes use floral motifs. Being in the environment of the flower market really puts me into my element.

Amsale Aberra is the New York-based couture bridal designer behind the Amsale, Christos and Kenneth Pool labels. Her bridal designs are available at the Amsale flagship salon on Madison Avenue and at specialty retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.
