Linda Sarsour: Authentic Palestinian Cuisine

Tanoreen, a Palestinian restaurant in Bay Ridge, serves up traditional dishes like kafta, an entree with ground lamb, and shulbato, which is cracked wheat cooked in tomato sauce with chickpeas, squash, peppers and eggplant. Photo courtesy of Tanoreen.

My favorite restaurant ever is Tanoreen. It’s a Palestinian gourmet food place in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. It’s very high quality, authentic cuisine. The owner is also the chef, which I love. They show a real commitment to service.

Linda Sarsour is the director of the Arab American Association of New York, a social service agency serving the Arab community in New York City.
