Like most New Yorkers who dream of dancing the night away in Ipanema, you’re probably spending most of your day at the Brazilian consulate on Sixth Ave.

Need to peek out for a little lamb? Try the Kwik Meal cart at the SW Corner of 45th & 6th Ave. The chef used to work at the Russian Tea Room and the lamb they use isn’t processed gyro meat — it’s real lamb!

Gary Shteyngart was born in Leningrad in 1972 and came to the U.S. seven years later. He has been selected as one of Granta’s Best Young American Novelists. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, Esquire, GQ, and Travel + Leisure and his books have been translated into more than twenty languages. He lives in New York City.
