When I want a taste of home I head to East Harlem to La Fonda Boricua, one of the last authentic Puerto Rican restaurants left in New York. There is always live music, the food is good and cheap and the atmosphere makes you feel like your back on the island.

Clyde Valentín was born and raised in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. He is the producer and executive director of the Hip-Hop Theater Festival, a unique arts organization dedicated to bringing new and diverse audiences to the theater. HHTF presentations and productions can be found in major urban markets around the U.S.
