EARTH — The Reinterment Grove is where 419 ancestral remains were laid to rest in 2003 after being rediscovered in 1991 during construction of the Ted Weiss Federal Building. Grassy mounds mark the seven crypts that contain sixty coffins each.

I have always found it refreshnig to know that more attention has been drawn to the African Burial Ground and the fact that enslaved Africans played an important role in building NYC in the 1600s and 1700s.
