City Council Approves Congestion Pricing; State Assembly nixes
April 7th, 2008 at 3:53 pm

Update: State Assembly just knocked down the proposal, see NY Times update.

The NY City Council recently approved assessing a fee to anyone who drives south of 60th St. in Manhattan during weekday work hours. The measure passed by a narrow margin. NY Voices has been covering this issue for a few months, producing a segment in February on the issue. On this week’s NY Voices segment, “Traffic Unsnarled?” Gail Robinson at the Gotham Gazette presents new developments.
