Charlie Rangel should give it up already. If he remembers Lindsay fondly he must be going into his dotage! I like what Vincent J. Cannato wrote in "The Ungovernable City" about Lindsay's senatorial campaign in 1980 when he lost the Silk Stocking district that spawned him--"He was no longer the East Side's charity of the month." A horrible time was had by most in New York from 1/1/66 to 12/31/73.
