After a few more days of looking at the new graphics, I have to say that they remind me of the email way of screaming. I do not like to be screamed at and that is another reason why I do not like the new logo of "thirteen".

And I completely agree with Olivia. My household has already bought a "digital antenna" and can't pick up 13 or 21 with it. The money that was spent for the re-design of the graphics would have been better spent in the digital broadcast department, ensuring that we can receive pbs broadcasts on these digital antennas in the NY area.

On another note, the link to this public discussion about the new graphics is almost impossible to find on thirteen's website, which is not good for public discourse.

I am sorry to say the new logo will not be a problem for me after the changeover to digital since it looks like my antennae will not pick up either 13 or 21 in digital mode. I would have preferred that you use the money you spent on the logo to make your digital signal more universally available.

The new THIRTEEN is hot, hot, hot. The aesthetic of the next decade is now defined. Great job.

Why, on God's Green Earth, are you spending money in a money-strapped time for a re-design of a logo that was perfectly fine... and now is downright hideous. The old font of thirteen was quirky and fun, now it's corporate and square, way too big on the bottom of the screen and interfering. It might work for WNET because it's an acronym, but a long word like "thirteen" gets way too squat and elongated with this font. I give the designer an F. Not only is the re-design ugly but completely unnecessary and a waste of contributor's money.
