Rebroadcast of ‘Torturing Democracy’

Tuesday, May 5th at 9pm, Thirteen will be rebroadcast Sherry Jones’s documentary Torturing Democracy – in part due to the recent Congressional buzz about public inquiries into interrogation techniques.
You can also watch the entire documentary online at any time. And it just was the RFK Journalism award winner (Domestic Television category).
A lot has been made of waterboarding in the media, but this excerpt from the documentary describes the use of waterboarding throughout history, and a description of the experience from Richard Armitage,
the former U.S. Secretary of State who was waterboarded in Vietnam.
