I do not have cable but am checking Comcast out since I received a letter introducing a $10/month basic cable for 12 months. Reading the responses tell me I wouldn't be able to get public television out of Hartford. How about Springfield? I bought the box but can't get any public TV, nor NBC. I feel absolutly lost without public television.

COMCAST's behavior is abominable. It appears that they are acting to circumvent the government's desire to make PBS TV available to the public.
Can the PBS broadcast companies file a formal complaint with the FCC or whatever federal agency has jurisdiction? Please consider what you can do.
This can spell the death of public television and would be a travesty against the public good.

This is a darn nuisance and a shame to have to go to so much trouble when I already DO subscribe to Comcast Digital and have a digital box on my main TV... It's ridiculous because now I can't watch WNET 13 (isn't this public TV?)in my bedroom without a special box. I never bargained for this and am quite inconvenienced.

The loss of WNET is more than depressing...analog has been so much better than digital. Who wants all that extra digital junk, besides dealing with the clunky box..the wires..the tedious channel guide on the screen...I feel terrible to lose WNET after all these years.

What a disgusting thing to do. I have watched 13 for all the years. I was so glad to turn it on when my children, now in their 50's, were little ones and enjoy most of their programs myself. I own some Comcast stock. I will give my complaints directly to them also.

We are in Madison CT, and Comcast has shut out channel 13 here completely. We have a digital box but WNET no longer comes in on 13. Comcast technical support says different things every time I call. The last time I was told that WNET was split into three channels-- 250 for kids, 246 for adults and 237 for HD (which we don'[t have). That is ripe! And also wrong. 250 does have kids programming, but 246 is some other channel. This is just awful service. Can anyone suggest how we can get 13 back?

Thank you for sending me this link. That Comcast has decided(from wherever they are)that WNET is secondary proves that they know nothing about this market.Unfortunely CPTV is not up to par,pre-empting news shows and Masterpiece Theater to show othe programming. Thanks again.
