Thirteen/WNET New York has an immediate need for a Project Manager on the Cyberchase team in its Children's & Educational Programming department. The Cyberchase Project Manager will be a key force in the Cyberchase team by facilitating communication between all departments, and coordinating the needs of broadcast, marketing, and licensing. Opportunities include identifying and coordinating new ways to promote the project, helping to maintain relationships with existing and new partners and corporate sponsors, creating informational materials for internal/external communication; and participating in the development of Cyberchase premiums and products. This job is a good fit for someone with excellent communication and organizational skills, strong computer skills, and an interest in marketing and project supervision.
The Project Manager will have responsibilities related to Cyberchase communications efforts, including serving as liaison to all Cyberchase departments; helping to write and overseeing the production of informational materials for internal/external distribution; serving as liaison and support person to new and existing partners; working with Project Coordinator to manage project calendar; communicating project updates between all departments as needed; and drafting correspondence for Executive Producers. He or she will be involved in administration activities, including overseeing key events and activities with Project Coordinator. He or she will assist in the management of the show's marketing and licensing partnerships, including serving as liaison and facilitating schedules and deadlines, and coordinating the review process and providing input as needed. He or she will be expected to assist in promotion efforts, including managing promotional campaigns for new episodes and initiatives working with publicity team and project staff; scheduling and coordinating the distribution of project news; and finding new ways to promote the project. Finally, he or she will work with the Station Relations team to schedule and coordinate quarterly conferences with Programmer Advisory Group; manage Station Relations activities on behalf of project and oversee follow-up with Cyberchase departments; and work with Station Relations team to create new ways to promote the project to stations.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and strong writing skills. They must have five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in television, marketing or branding. They must demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills. Candidates must have a facility with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and image programs such as Quark and Photoshop.
