Communications Internship specializing in advertising, promotion and publications.
Description:
The Promotions Intern would work as a member of Thirteen/WNET New York's five-person team in charge of advertising, promotion and publications. The position is intended to be a learning experience at the college level for a student in communications, marketing, public relations and related fields.
Responsibilities:
Proofreading and editing, fact-checking, preparing creative briefs, drafting advertising copy, researching target audiences and micro-niches, tracking results. Every member of the Advertising & Promotion department pitches in with administrative work and the intern will be expected to do the same.
Learning Opportunities:
Observing seasoned professionals at work, the intern can be hands on in the sound studio, work with creative agencies and designers, and prepare TV listings for publication. As competence is proven, intern could lead an entire project, researching target audiences, planning the campaign, budgeting, producing materials and measuring results.
Hours: Full-time.
Stipend Available.
