Responsibilities: Administrative Assistance in the department (50%); assist
with client servicing, help facilitate marketing activities, research companies,
prepare sales materials, assist with sales proposals (50%). Skills: Advertising/Marketing
background, computer literacy, and proofreading skills.
Opportunity Profile:
This internship is an excellent opportunity for a communications/marketing
student to experience first-hand the day-to-day operations of a marketing
department at a public television station. Thirteen can offer a student
a wider range of experiences than other broadcast sales departments due
to the assortment of functions which fall within the marketing department.
The student will be exposed to projects such as event planning or PSA development,
as well as positions and job functions that he/she had been previously unaware
of. Hopefully, the student will gain a broader view of marketing at a not-for-profit
institution.
Hours: 24 hours/week; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday by one student.
