Are you a recent college grad looking for an opportunity to get your foot in the door at the flagship public television station in the New York metropolitan area? Then read on! Thirteen/WNET New York is looking for an individual with excellent research and communication skills to serve as Research Assistant to its President. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about television and its educational potential, and are interested in learning about the television industry from a seasoned professional.

In this position, you will work directly with the President of Thirteen/WNET. Thirteen's President has 25 years of experience in television service, and is seeking to implement new and innovative programs at Thirteen. You will support him in this effort by conducting research on potential projects and programming ideas. In addition, you will assist his Executive Assistant by providing administrative support, including answering phones, responding to inquiries, filing and drafting correspondence, and providing assistance on other projects as assigned.

Applicants must have keen internet research abilities, proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional presentation skills and professionalism, as the person selected will be representing Thirteen and its President's Office before the public.

Please note that this benefits-eligible position has a fixed-term which will run from June, 2008 through May, 2009.
