This Day in History: Andy Warhol Shot in His Studio, June 3

Andy Warhol, known for his experimental pop art as much as his media manipulation, was shot in his New York film studio by actress and militant feminist Valerie Solanas in 1968. See some outtakes from Ric Burns’ American Masters that explore Warhol’s astonishing artistic output - from the late 1940s to 1987.
