Writers Junot Diaz and Francisco Goldman discuss writing lives, through history and fiction. Junot Diaz is the author of Drown and The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, which was awarded the Sargent First Novel Prize and was selected by Time and New York Magazine as the best novel of 2007. Francisco Goldman is the author of The Long Night of White Chickens, which won the Sue Kaufman Award for First Fiction and was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner award, and The Ordinary Seaman, which was a finalist for the International IMPAC Dublin Fiction Prize, the PEN/Faulkner award and The Los Angeles Times Book Prize. His most recent books are The Art of Political Murder: Who Killed the Bishop? and The Divine Husband. This event was held at the CUNY Graduate Center.
