Fear Itself

Choed teacher Tsultrim Allione meets with New York University neuroscientist Joseph LeDoux to discuss the sources of fear and to explore how Buddhist practice seeks to master these deep-seated emotions. This event was presented as part of the Brainwave Festival held by the Rubin Museum of Art, dedicated to the art of the Himalayas.

There is a considerable gap in the tape at the explanation of Tsultrim Allione of her 5 steps: at the end of step 3: the answers of the Demon, the tape jumps to the end of step 4: suddenly the Ally has appeared. This gap makes the whole procedure ununderstandable. Could it be repaired?

Thank you for this wonderful meditation. I have read Women of Wisdom and have a sense of comming home. Blessings. Jane

Thank you Lama Allione for giving so freely of yourself in openly transmitting this healing practice. I have read your book but could not bring myself to the meditative place that this video, and your guidance, have just brought me: having just completed the practice, I feel much calmer and at peace than before. Also, I feel that I have a much more concrete conceptualization of a major issue that I’ve been struggling with throughout my life-long spiritual journey.
    Namaste.
    Joanne
