Dr. Abdullah Abdullah

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah was appointed Foreign Minister of Afghanistan following the overthrow of the Taliban in 2001, and he maintained the position until March 2006. In this interview with Nermeen Shaikh, he discusses the failures of the war on terrorism, the current situation in Afghanistan, and the role of Pakistan in contributing to the worsening security state of the region. The interview took place in Kazakhstan at the Eurasian Media Forum and was presented by The Asia Society.
