My dog Jazzy is a Belgian Turvuren, which is a French police/sheep
dog, is an extraordinary dog because she helps our cat birth and
nurse her kittens. She has done this four times (we've had four
litters!) She helps our cat give birth by licking and cleaning
the kittens as they are born. Then, when they get a little older,
she takes over some of the nursing duties, too. And once when a
stray kitten came to our house she nursed that kitten too!
And my Mom says she really gives them milk. She is also special because she makes
my
sister and I feel safe. We got her because the house next door was broken into while
we were at home (it was only 10:00 at night) and it really scared us. My Mom found
out about this special kind of dog, and we looked all over to find one. Finally we
had to go to Canada to get her. She was carsick all the way home, and I took
care of her.
My sister and I really love our dog because she takes care of us
and our kittens (sometimes she even sleeps in our bed.) My Mom says Jazzy
could nurse puppies whose Mothers get killed if we had the room to keep them
here. She is a natural mother, and loves to take care of everything. She will
protect us from everything and if we get lost she could find us because she has
a great nose to smell us. That's why I think my dog is the most extraordinary dog.

My neighbors dog, Kody, brought me together with a friend I was fighting with.
It started when I offered to walk Kody for my neighbors. I hooked on its leash
and Kody just took off down the street. It turned and ran down Grant Street where
my friend lives. It just so happens that my friend was outside. Kody ran up
to her and then laid down. He wouldn't get up so I had to stay there. I figured
out what he was trying to do so I went up to my friend and told her I was sorry.
She said she was sorry to and that it was all her fault but I told her it
didn't matter. From then on we have not had one fight and if we ever do I'll
just offer to walk Kody.

Maya is a yellow labrador retriever. She is 1 of our 2 dogs.
She is a very extraodinary dog. She has proved her love for
me and my family in the most ultimate way. Here is the story.
One day about 1 year ago, it had been 2 weeks since we had last seen Maya. We were
very worried, fearful that she be dead. But, close to the evening, my mom
looked out of a window and exclaimed, "There's Maya!"
We all rushed outside to discover a very wet and injured Maya.
The next day, we took Maya to the vet. Maya had a broken pelvis because of being
hit by a truck. Also, during all of those days for 2 weeks there had been severe
thunderstorms! The vet said, and I quote, "An amazing dog we have here." I truly
do believe that! To crawl back to us, with a broken pelvis, in the thunderstorms,
IS an amazing thing for a dog to do. She is my very best friend.
Now, Maya wals with a limp and runs strangely. We love her so much for coming back
and showing us she loved us too.
She is quite funny though! When she's hungry, she nudges her food dish with her nose
and whines. Also, she is very smart. It seems to me that she understands everything
I say.
I know in my heart that Maya was meant to be here. She really truly is an
extraordinary dog. Maya is the most loyal dog in the world!
