WHAT'S UP IN TECHNOLOGY? also features a print Teacher's Guide produced by Thirteen/WNET's Educational Publishing Department. This guide contains practical lesson plans for use in classroom settings to help teachers implement core math and science concepts and show their real-world applications. An extensive resource list includes current publications, organizations, and video and online resources. The Guide is available in print and, electronically, as a PDF (Portable Document Format) file, through the Web. To download the Guide as a PDF file, you must first download the Adobe Acrobat Reader, available for free on Adobe's Web site. The Reader is available for most computer platforms, and once downloaded the Guide may be viewed on-screen as well as printed out. Steps: 1. Download Adobe's Acrobat Reader from Adobe's Web site. 2. Download the Teacher's Guide. 3. Open the Teacher's Guide by double clicking on the file or by opening Acrobat Reader, choosing "Open," and selecting the Guide file.
