I am going to inform you about Lillian Wald. The reason why I picked her was because the project buildings that I live in are named after her. I also wanted to know about her and why she was so popular that she has a building named after her. She was born in the year 1867. In 1893, she originated a nursing service for Henry Street Settlement in New York City, in the Lower East Side. She went to universities and organizations to become a professional nurse. Lillian Wald became the first president of National Organization of Public Health Nurses. In 1912, Ms. Wald helped secure the creation of Federal Children's Bureau. She died in 1940.
