CAR WASH FUNDRAISER, HIP HOP CONCERT,  POETRY EVENT

This timeline represents all of the formal activities in which the students have participated. This list does not include the numerous informal discussions they continue to have on a regular basis.

These discussions have reflected the powerful effect this project has had on the language used and expressed on a daily basis. Consequently, the atmosphere at the center has significantly changed for everyone involved. The students are more conscious of their person and therefore their environment.
What you see here chronicles the move from a state of unconscious disregard for what it means to be a Black person to an awareness that being Black is a complex experience.

We are in no way finished with our journey and will continue to be innovative with our development.
