Michael Jordan, Basketball player

Michael Jordan was born on February 17,1963 and set his heart on basketball. He went to North Carolina class of '85; he was one of the fewest African-Americans who made it to the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was on the high school all-star team from 85 to 93 then from 96 to 98. He has an average of 31.5 one of their greatest wins were 95-10 by 85 points. With him the team was on fire.

Michael Jordan is the role model of my school. He told all the people watching his last game that he would return someday " maybe sooner than you think". He has set quite a lot of morals for the 6th grade curriculum. He said, "Set your heart on your dreams and I can almost assure you it will come true". He has influenced society to play one of America's favorite sports. He has been seen at random parts in the U.S.A. teaching people how to play basketball. If he never came to inspire America about basketball, we would all be lazy.

Michael had turned the worst sport in 1965 to the best sport practically overnight. He has been my hero and he also turned the Chicago Bulls' career around from almost nothing to the finest team in the NBA.

Michael Jordan's style of basketball influenced kids to play. He played basketball because he loved to play the game. I think Michael was a good player because he took the game seriously. He has influenced my friends and many people to play basketball.

Michael donated money to the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago. The Club had a retirement celebration for Michael in November 1994. The Club honored Michael's father, James Jordan, who served the community there for many years. I like the idea because Boys and Girls Club is similar to Boy's Club of New York. We can have a lot of good time at Boys Club. They have a lot of sports and computer games that we can play. My brother and I always go there after school.
