Using the Internet, CD-ROMs, and print resources, students become familiar with the physical characteristics, habitats, and behaviors of various species of sharks. Students demonstrate their knowledge by creating a ClarisWorks slide show and presenting their findings to the class.

Students will be able to:

  Examine the physical characteristics of sharks, including senses, anatomy, and physiology.
  Identify shark behavior.
  Examine the habitats of various species of sharks.
  Design and create a multimedia slide show and present their findings to the class.
