The Grand Canyon Multimedia Project
Project Components:
Your assignment is to research your assigned topic and create a HyperStudio presentation that tells your audience about your topic and documents your findings. You must support your findings with factual research. You are responsible for making a storyboard of your stack, creating your stack in HyperStudio, and presenting your project to the class. If you conduct one of the suggested activities in the Study Guide, incorporate images of your product into your stack.
Storyboard --
A storyboard serves as a blueprint for the stack. The storyboard provides a workspace where you can plan the structure of your stack as well as plan the images and text for each card. Use the storyboard to plan the flow of the stack and choose images and text for each card. Each box on the storyboard represents a card. Sketch the image in the box and write the text under each box on the lines provided. This must be completed and checked by your teacher before you can move on to the next step.
HyperStudio Stack --
Your stack should consist of a minimum of five cards. Each stack should contain text, images, and sound. Animation is optional. When working on your stack, make sure you check for the following:
A title card.
A table of contents.
A minimum of five cards per stack.
Navigational buttons leading to the correct card.
A Reference Card listing at least two sources.
Clear and readable text.
Correct spelling and punctuation.
Purposeful cards pointing to the content.
Graphics and animations that support content, not override it.
Final Presentation --
You will present your finished project to the class. Make sure you do a final run through before you present your project to the class. Be prepared to answer questions from your audience about your subject.
