Every member of your group should have a job to do to make your Garden Web pages. Make sure each job is assigned.

Copy editor: Responsible for gathering text from the group, making sure it has been word processed and checked for grammar and spelling errors.

Image editor: Responsible for making sure all images are digitized, named appropriately, and saved into a folder called "Images for Homepage."

Artist: Responsible for creating the blueprint of the garden.

Producer: Responsible for making sure text, images, and art have been completed. Also responsible for getting approval for your Web page design from the Executive Producer (teacher).

Researcher: Responsible for gathering information to be used on your page. Every member of the group should contribute some research.

Before you get approval for your Web pages from your teacher, check your project for the following:

Text:
1. Have you checked for spelling errors?

2. Is the grammar correct?

3. Is each line of text approximately 8-10 words in length?

4. Have you included a description of each plant, why it was chosen, and what habitat element requirement it fulfills?

5. Have you saved your document to the hard drive and given it a clear title?

Images:
1. Have all the images you plan to use been digitized? Have the drawings been scanned? Have you identified any clip art to be incorporated?

2. Are the pictures 320 x 240 pixels or smaller? Remember, if a picture is too large, it will take too long to download.

3. Have the images been saved into a new folder on the desktop called "Images for Homepage?"

4. Have you given each image a clear title?

5. Have all pictures been saved as PICT files?

Art:
1. Is the design clear and readable?

2. Are the plants labeled?

3. If the design was drawn by hand, has it been scanned?
