The Garden Project

You are responsible for creating a virtual garden. As a group, you must look at online gardens and decide what components you want to include in your garden. You must research and choose appropriate plants for the temperate zone you live in, create a design of the garden, and produce a series of linked Web pages. Your project must include the following:
  • A homepage that includes a completed garden design. This page is like a table of contents, showing what you will cover in your project.
  • A new page for each habitat element and/or a page for each species of plant included in your virtual garden.
  • A description of each plant, why it was chosen, and what habitat element requirement it fulfills. (For example, the Hindleberry bush was chosen because it is a plant that provides food for birds and small mammals.) See Creating a Habitat (http://www.nwf.org/habitats/creating/basics.html) for the requirements for creating a habitat.
  • Image and text links to other pages in your project, or to other sites that provide information for your project.
You are also responsible for completing a Layout Design Sheet for each page of your project and a Production Checklist.
