   Using the Internet, CD-ROMs, print resources, and the PBS series SAVAGE EARTH, students will explore the phenomena of plate tectonics, understand the relationship between plate tectonics and natural disasters, and demonstrate their understanding via a PowerPoint presentation. Grade Level: 5-8 Subject Matter: Earth Science, Technology Project Length: Approximately 6 class periods.  Students will be able to: 
Understand the phenomenon of plate tectonics. Understand the cause and effect relationship between plate tectonics and
