This lesson
was designed for teachers who are already familiar with image-creating programs, such as ClarisWorks,
Illustrator, or Photoshop. After viewing animations of cellular processes on the Web, students choose a particular process to explore and research, using a variety of online and print resources. Students identify key terms and related concepts. They create animations using simple paint programs and shareware programs: GifConverter and GifBuilder for the Mac, and Paint Shop Pro (version 3.11) and GIF Movie Gear for the PC.
