Project Components:
Your task is to create a HyperStudio presentaton on your assigned topic. (If you
don't have a topic, use the Body Works
Topic Sheet to choose one.) In addition to a HyperStudio stack, you are
responsible for storyboarding and presenting your projects to the class
Storyboard -- A necessary step in the planning and presentation of your work is the creation of a storyboard. Storyboards serve as outlines and/or concept maps that will aid you in the planning and development of your projects. A standard form for storyboarding for multimedia projects is to decide 1) the visual content on each card of the overall project and 2) the written content on each card. Use the Body Works storyboard to plan your project.
HyperStudio Stack -- Each HyperStudio stack will consist of a minimum of 5 cards. Each stack will contain text, images, and sound and should contain:
Front End -- the first screen that the user interacts with, allowing them to access the various cards that the students have included in their projects;
Body -- the project "content" or the visual and text-based information that students include in their project that exemplifies their research and expert knowledge on their subject;
Conclusion -- usually the last card in the stack, the conclusion summarizes the information presented; and
Interactivity -- your stacks should be interactive, that is, the user should be able to navigate through the stack by clicking buttons.
Final Presentation -- Upon completion, you will present your finished project to the class in the form of a multimedia presentation. Since you are now experts on a particular biological system, you will take on the role of "teacher/expert." Other students in class will be encouraged to ask you questions.
You will be assessed on the accuracy of the information presented in your stacks, your presentation, your technical skills, and your expert knowledge.
