By creating a HyperStudio stack based on the alphabet, students learn to
recognize letters of the alphabet and relate them to corresponding sounds. Stacks
will consist of two cards. Each student is assigned a letter of the alphabet. On
their first card, they will write their letter. On the second card, they will
draw a picture of an object or item, the name of which begins with their letter.
Students will link the two cards with a button, and record the associated sound
of their letters.
Grade Level: K-1 Curricular Uses: Language Arts: letter recognition, sound recognition, alphabetic sequence, vocabulary, and spelling.  Students will be able to:  Write a letter of the alphabet. Learn to recognize
letters of the alphabet. Relate letters of the alphabet to their corresponding sounds. Relate letters of
the alphabet to images and objects, the names of which begin with those
letters.
Increase their motor dexterity by drawing images. Create a simple stack
using HyperStudio. |
