Where Do We Go From Here?

By Caroline

A tragic event occurred in

September…

Should we now go on as usual?

Or remember, remember,

remember?

Many things have changed, but

Our daily habits remain the same.

Remember, remember,

remember…

Going to school, shopping, sports…

The same as before the planes

came.

Remember, remember,

remember…

The planes that killed thousands.

Will it now be safer forever?

Is all the extra security helping?

We'll all remember the World

Trade Center forever and ever…

Where Do we Go from Here?

By Maya

Where do we go from here?

Now that our lives have been

changed forever

What do we do now?

Considering what happened in

September

Do we put our lives on hold?

Change the direction and path

Give up on all our dreams?

Cause what happened in the past

When two towers fell

We couldn't believe our eyes

Just thinking about all who died

Makes us all want to cry

Where do we go from here?

Do we go into ourselves?

And forget about life

Do we just let them win?

And live life filled with strife

Now we don't

This is what we do

We cry

We laugh

We move

We fly

We remember our dreams

We don't put our lives on hold

We find hope

We live

We love

And most importantly …

We move on

Where Do we go From Here?

By Samantha

Where do we go from here?

A question that puzzles us all.

Did this act of terror really

happen?

Or was it all a gruesome

nightmare?

But what happens if it wasn't in

our minds?

What happens if everything did

occur?

Do we pretend nothing happened?

Do we change our ways?

Where do we go from here?

What do we feel?

Do we feel sorrow?

Do we feel joy?

What do we do?

Do we go to school?

Or do we stay home?

Do we travel?

Or do we not go anywhere?

Do we cry?

And if so are they tears of joy…

Or tears of pain?

Do we help?

Or do we only care about

ourselves?

Well here's an answer…

We live life to the fullest…

We cry…

We move…

We travel…

We help…

We comfort…

We live…

We remember…

And finally…

We move on.
