- DO NOT GET CONFUSED BY THE DIFFERENT NAMES OF THE SAME APPLICATION. Macromedia renames its browser plug-in every couple of months. It is variously know as Shockwave, Shockwave 7, Flash, Flash player, and Shockwave Flash. The important thing to understand is that in this instance they all refer to the same plug-in.
- Internet Explorer 3.x and AOL 3.x are known to have certain compatibility problems with Shockwave Flash. If you want to enjoy the Shockwave Gallery, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to Internet Explorer 4+ or upgrade to AOL 4.x now.
