Susan Harrington is the second Teacher of the Year from WGBY. She has been teaching in the Boston Public School system since 1978. She taught grades 1 and 3-8. For the past two years she has been teaching fifth grade at the David G. Farragut Elementary School in Mission Hill, Boston, MA. She was a 2001 Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher. This summer will be her seventh year participating in the Children Literature of New England summer institute and her fourth year as co-leader of the "teachers" group. She has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College, a Masters in Business and Organizational Communications from Emerson College, a Masters in Special Education Technology from Emmanuel College and a Masters in Instructional Media from Fitchburg State College.
