Barbara Greenup is the KCPT Teacher of the Year.

Barbara Greenup is a sixth grade math and language arts teacher for USD #260, Derby, Kansas, and has 15 years teaching experience. She has also taught second, fourth, and fifth grades. Barbara has served on numerous committees for the district: Negotiations Committee 1998 and 1999, Math Textbook Selection 1998, Social Studies Textbook Selection 1997, Reading Outcomes Committee, Co-chair Reading Textbook Selection 1995 and Social Studies Outcomes 1996. Barbara has presented at the NTTI for the past three years, and has also presented at district in-services. Barbara presented her NTTI lessons at the S.M.A.R.T.T. conference in 1998 in Wichita. Barbara is member of Kansas Association of Teachers of Science (KATS) and the Derby National Education Association (DNEA).

Barbara graduated in 1993 with an MA in education. She received the "I Make A Difference Award" in 1996.
