Dispensation: a release from an obligation (noun)
Sentence: The marriage dispensation allowed me to become engaged to my true love.

Repudiate: to discard, disown, denounce (verb)
Sentence: My father repudiated me when I turned 18; he kicked me out of the house.

Acrimony: harsh language (noun)
Sentence: She raised her voice and spoke to me with acrimony.

Excommunicate: to be censured whereby one is cast out of the church.
Sentence: The nun broke religious law and was excommunicated.

Varlet: servant, attendant (noun)
Sentence: The varlet helped to bathe the girl.

Pious: manifesting devotion to God (adjective)
Sentence: The nun was extremely pious.

Dissolution: the act of dissolving or breaking up. (noun)
Sentence: The dissolution of our gang was a sad thing.

Septicemia: blood poisoning (noun)
Sentence: She died of septicemia during child-birth, a common cause of death in women in the 15th century.

Impetuous: impulsive (adjective)
