Instructions:
Moving mouth: You need one piece of paper for this page.
1. Fold paper in half and cut through the fold, perpendicular to the fold.
2. Fold flaps that were created by the incision outwards, on a 45-60 degree
angle.
3. Push flaps inward.
4. Open the page to produce a beak.
5. Draw in your
chosen image.
6.You can put a second piece of paper as a foundation and draw a tongue
or teeth.
Note: You can also experiment with the length of the cut and the angle
of the folded flaps to create the character you want.
Movable Strip:You need two pieces of paper for this page.

Steps Example 1:
1. Cut slots Y and X-Z in the foundation. Thread the movable strip
through the Y slots to move through the slot X-Y.
2. The length of the movable strip is the same as the distance between
Z and the left edge of the foundation. Paste a tab that says "PULL" on
the end of the movable strip.
3. If the strip tends to drop down from the Y slots, add another support
slot.

Example 2:
1. Cut a square window in the center/top of the base. Cut a notched, movable
strip allowing space for two heads corresponding to the window.
2. Lay the strip on the reverse side of the base and fasten the supporting strips 'B' and 'C.'
Align the head position behind the opening.
3. This enables the two positions of the head strip to be opened.
4. Pull the movable strip down to change the expression of the face from
sad to happy.

1. Take two sheets of paper. Fold the first one in half to form the foundation and
cut the second piece in half to form the pop-up.
2. Fold the cut piece of paper in half. Then fold an inch down
at one side. Cut a diagonal mitre in the center of the fold and crease
mitred flaps.
3. Align mitred corner with the central spine of the foundation and glue
down bottom flap.
4. Glue the top flap and drop the right foundation on top. Leave closed
and cut off excess area X. Then open page.
