Living on Your Own -- Let's Calculate the Cost!
This lesson is a fun way to review basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, finding averages, and working with percentages. More importantly, it shows how these skills are applied to real-life situations that are of particular interest to this age group.

This lesson can be used for review or remedial work. It can also be a fun exercise for students who are already proficient in basic math skills. It increases Internet proficiency and community awareness.

Multiply with percents.
Use simple formulas (substituting values).
Use critical thinking skills to make real-life decisions.
Learn real-life survival skills.
