Linda Darling-Hammond: Well I think in a lot of respects what we're talking about here is not a new fad or a silver bullet. We're talking about the kind of education that a small number of folks have had access to for over a hundred years and making that available to a much larger number of students, in fact all students. It's not a passing fad or fancy. It's really inventing schools for the 21st century that enable our society to continue to be the kind of democratic and highly productive society that it's been. |
