| Grant Wiggins Grant Wiggins is the president of Learning by Design, a not-for-profit educational group in Pennington, NJ. He works with schools, districts, and state education departments on reform matters, and consulted on reform initatives in Kentucky, Vermont, and North Carolina. He is the author of Educative Assessment, and Assessing Student Performance, published by Jossey Bass. He and Jay McTighe co-authored Understanding by Design, published by ASCD. Wiggins earned his Ed.D at Harvard University, and his B.A at St. John's College in Annapolis. He has 14 years of secondary school teaching experience. He is married and has three children.
